“Inside Public Participation” — or IP2 — is the latest podcast to join the FIR Podcast Network. The subject of public participation has long intrigued Joseph Thornley — CEO of Thornley Fallis and co-host of the “Inside PR” podcast — leading to the launch of this new show.

Each week, Joseph and his guest hosts explore best practices, case studies, and research in

effective public participation. The format of the show usually includes both a discussion of a principal topic or interview along with one or more brief #IP2Noted items, quick hits on things P2 that practitioners will want to know about.

Joseph introduces the podcast in the first episode and looks at an upcoming IP2 conference and an online hub addressing public engagement in Australia. Episode 2 looks at a professional association dedicated to public participation and a source of scholarly research into public participation.
