Communicating in India — the second most populous country in the world and on its way to overtaking China to be number one — has its own unique challenges. What those challenges are and how the best communicators and marketers are dealing with them will be the focus of Digital India, the latest show to join the FIR Podcast Network lineup.
Hobson & Holtz Report listeners have probably heard some early examples of Digital India in reports from Suresh Babu, founder and head of the Bangalore-based Web Marketing Academy. Suresh and his staff and students contributed a few reports that have been expanded into this new show. Suresh actually launched Digital India in February.
Digital India began with a case study that was produced as a result of some spirited debates in a WMA classroom last November. Suresh and the students at WMA recorded the takeaways from that debate and sent it to us. We incorporated it into an episode of The Hobson & Holtz Report (which we ultimately had to make an FIR Cut), which got the students and staff at WMA fired up, ultimately leading to the creation of the full-blown show.
What can you expect from Digital India? The debut podcast was all about the Flipkart Big Billion Day and the state of ecommerce in India. Much more will be covered in upcoming episodes, such as…
- Digital marketing in India
- Social media marketing in India
- Success stories from India
- Ecommerce – its evolution and current state
- What’s hot in the digital marketing industry
- B2B and B2C digital marketing strategies
- Reports, statistics and case studies from the Indian subcontinent
- Careers and choices in digital marketing
- … and a lot more from this highly dynamic field
