Hey everyone! Glad to finally get back on board the FIR bandwagon. Congrats to Shel and Neville on the great new look for the network! I got in the revamping spirit myself with some new intro music and a more documentary-style approach. Special thanks to audio geek and music composer Zach Pentyliuk for letting me use his tune, and thanks also to audio engineer and soundscape designer Ken McDonald for making the show sound great.

Here’s how this episode lines up:

  • First you’ll hear a short introductory segment featuring comments from communicators, fresh out of a Ragan conference last fall, who have been inspired to take their employee videos to a new level.
  • The main event: an in-depth feature interview with Jami Hahn and Andrew Nelson, the masterminds behind the incredibly successful internal video programming at Home Instead Senior Care, the largest senior care organization in the world.
  • In a short horn-tooting segment I talk about my new corporate podcasting service, Purpose-Built Productions.
  • The show ends with some great bonus material. Andrew, who is a total gearhead, talks about the hardware and software he uses to make video magic.

One last bonus. Andrew kindly gave me permission to share this quick showreel with highlights from many of Home Instead’s videos. Thanks Jami and Andrew for sharing so much of your hard-won wisdom with me and TV@Work listeners!
