Have you innocently shopped online, got to the checkout page, and been distracted before finalizing your purchase? Of course, we’ve all been there, but have you been lucky enough to find yourself scrolling through Facebook and seeing the exact item you meant to purchase with a discount offer tied to it? Or even crazier, watched a video – say of cats – and then suddenly your Facebook feed thinks you really like cat videos?

Welcome to the world of Facebook advertising, an incredibly powerful tool that can help you grow your business and draw attention back to an intended purchase, videos you might like, or even make you aware of products and services that may resolve an issue for you. For those not in the digital marketing space, it may feel a bit ‘big brother’ to see advertising for a website you had recently visited, but it works, which is why you keep seeing said cat videos and items you left in an abandoned shopping cart.

In this episode of AMP Up Your Digital Marketing, Glenn Gaudet speaks to Amanda Bond, owner of The Ad Strategist, where she helps people stop guessing and start getting results with Facebook ads. Here you’ll learn from Bond:

  • How the Facebook ad pixel works and where is can help you leverage ‘other people’s platforms.’
  • When to use a small 100-person sample audience to look at others like them to expand your reach.
  • Where you can use Facebook ads to not only build your lead funnel but also earmark folks that may be ready to buy versus those browsing.
  • Why reach isn’t dead, you’re just doing it wrong.

Here you’ll come to see how to deeply analyze what is already happening in your business. Understanding the path behind someone following you on social, to interacting with your website, understanding your value, and becoming a client, can be difficult to map. Once you know that process, you can plug holes and identify a successful Facebook strategy. But remember, Facebook ads are not magic – if holes exist, they will find them so its best to address holes first, and then stand up a strong Facebook ad campaign.

Bond’s Bio: Amanda Bond, is the owner of The Ad Strategist, where they help people stop guessing and start getting results with Facebook ads. They do this by turning digital attention they are already receiving online, into revenue, by using their signature Strategy System. Bond started in the online space as a social media manager and converted into Facebook ad systems after a powerful event with her local Rotary. If you would like to get in touch with Bond, you can find her on her website The Ad Strategist.
